Established in 1972 S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten is formerly known as ‘S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten.’ Due to reconstruction work in Texaco Road, the Crown of Thorns Church was demolished with the building of the new Church completed in 2002. Soon after the completion, the kindergarten regained its role as a pre-primary institution, offering quality early childhood education to children in the region. In appreciation of Dr. Kathleen Ko for her support towards early-childhood education, the kindergarten has beem named after her husband. The transliteration「士德」has been adopted in its Chinese name, in which 「士」means scholars, and 「德」means virtue, to wish every of the centre’s children wisdom and high moral qualities.

To help K2 students understand library borrowing procedures and learn about the facilities and services available, visits to the Yuen Chau Kok Public Library have been arranged on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27.
The Lunar New Year Celebration will be held on Friday, February 13. Students should wear traditional Chinese attire or clothing with Chinese cultural elements, and must wear their name badge. Please do not wear slippers, Crocs-style shoes, or lace-up shoes. Students should bring their birthday bag, a water bottle with a shoulder strap, a snack box, and a mask case (if applicable) to school. ＊Students who have paid the snack fee for next term will receive New Year pudding and fruit provided by the school as their snack. ＊Students do not need to bring snacks or gifts for sharing or distribution.
To enhance K3 students’ understanding of scientific development, visits to the Hong Kong Science Museum have been arranged on Wednesday, February 11 and March 4.
To help K2 students learn about the history, culture, and architectural features of Sam Tung Uk, and to deepen their understanding of the community, students will visit the Sam Tung Uk Museum on Wednesday, February 4.
The graduation trip for K3 students will take place on Tuesday, February 3, at Hong Kong Disneyland. ＊K1 and K2 students will have one day off on that day.
