Established in 1972 S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten is formerly known as ‘S.K.H. Crown of Thorns Church Kindergarten.’ Due to reconstruction work in Texaco Road, the Crown of Thorns Church was demolished with the building of the new Church completed in 2002. Soon after the completion, the kindergarten regained its role as a pre-primary institution, offering quality early childhood education to children in the region. In appreciation of Dr. Kathleen Ko for her support towards early-childhood education, the kindergarten has beem named after her husband. The transliteration「士德」has been adopted in its Chinese name, in which 「士」means scholars, and 「德」means virtue, to wish every of the centre’s children wisdom and high moral qualities.

1st October (Thursday) is the National Day holiday, and the school will be closed for the day.
19th October (Monday) is The day following Chung Yeung Festival Holiday, and the school will be closed for the day.
The Autumn Picnic for K2 students will be held on 23rd October (Friday), at Lai Chi Kok Park. Both morning and afternoon K2 students should arrive at school on time by 8:30 a.m., with dismissals at around 1:00 p.m. Students must wear their neat summer PE uniform with name tags. Please prepare a backpack with snacks, drinks, a water bottle with a shoulder strap, rain gear, insect repellent, and sunscreen—all items must be clearly labeled with the student's name. School bus service will not be provided for K2 students on this day; parents are requested to pick up and drop off their children in person. *K1, and K3 students will have a holiday on this day.
Interest classes will commence on 5th October. Registered parents, please note that you are required to arrange your own transportation to drop off and pick up your children, as school bus service will not be provided by the school.
To help students learn about natural ecology and the development of Hong Kong toys, the school has specially arranged a visit to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum for K3 students on 14th October (Wednesday).
